Alain Despert and the St. Regis Bora Bora have been partners since the resort opened in 2006. He has created several special projects for the hotel over the years. Despert's painting are showcased throughout the resort. Primarily and Lagoon Bar & Restaurant, also at Reception, Bam Boo, Farniente and the Te Pahu Restaurant.
